Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, January 11, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 19900 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 12500 cusecs and Outflows 12500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 11600 cusecs and Outflows 5000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8000 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 19000 cusecs and Outflows 17700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 27300 cusecs and Outflows 27300 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 18300 cusecs and Outflows 18300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 3600 cusecs and Outflows 3600, Guddu: Inflows 20200 cusecs and Outflows 6000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 5800 cusecs and Outflows 5800 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4700 cusecs and Outflows 1700.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1493.94 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.505 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1182.05 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.404 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.038 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
