Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, January 06, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 20200 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11600 cusecs and Outflows 11600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 12600 cusecs and Outflows 6000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8000 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 19600 cusecs and Outflows 16000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 15500 cusecs and Outflows 16000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 13700 cusecs and Outflows 13700 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 4900 cusecs and Outflows 4900, Guddu: Inflows 25900 cusecs and Outflows 12500 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 13500 cusecs and Outflows 18500 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 3500 cusecs and Outflows 3500.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1492.52 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.437 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1180.75 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.336 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640.80 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.051 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
