Lahore, December 31, 2015 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under :
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 20900 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 10500 cusecs and Outflows 10500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 10800 cusecs and Outflows 6000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 9500 cusecs and Outflows 9500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 16400 cusecs and Outflows 8900 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 14500 cusecs and Outflows 11000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 25000 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 4600 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Guddu: Inflows 32300 cusecs and Outflows 27200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 25500 cusecs and Outflows Nil, Kotri: Inflows 3500 cusecs and Outflows 3500.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1489.62 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.298 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1179.65 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.280 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 644 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.115 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
