Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, December 29, 2015 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 21400 cusecs and Outflows 12000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11900 cusecs and Outflows 11900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 11200 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 9500 cusecs and Outflows 9500 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 26600 cusecs and Outflows 19100 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 16200 cusecs and Outflows 11800 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 27600 cusecs and Outflows 22600 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 5100 cusecs and Outflows 500 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 34000 cusecs and Outflows 28800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 27300 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4200 cusecs and Outflows 4200.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1488.58 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.250 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1179.25 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.261 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 644.30 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.123 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
