Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, December 21, 2015 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under :
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 22200 cusecs and Outflows 38000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11500 cusecs and Outflows 11500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 13100 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8200 cusecs and Outflows 3000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 42500 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 42900 cusecs and Outflows 42000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 42500 cusecs and Outflows 37500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 6900 cusecs and Outflows 2300 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 37900 cusecs and Outflows 32700 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 30400 cusecs and Outflows 900 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 9400 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1488.18 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.232 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1180.35 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.315 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.096 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
