Lahore, December 18, 2015 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under :
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 22600 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 10700 cusecs and Outflows 10700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 13800 cusecs and Outflows 28000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 8400 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 43900 cusecs and Outflows 36400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 35600 cusecs and Outflows 44000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 38100 cusecs and Outflows 38100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 7500 cusecs and Outflows 2900 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 39300 cusecs and Outflows 34200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 34900 cusecs and Outflows 5600 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 7700 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1490.34 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.332 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1181.85 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.393 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.30 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.100 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
