Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, December 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 22300 cusecs and Outflows 28000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11300 cusecs and Outflows 11300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 15500 cusecs and Outflows 34000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 9200 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 52600 cusecs and Outflows 45500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 44100 cusecs and Outflows 44000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 40500 cusecs and Outflows 40500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 6900 cusecs and Outflows 2300 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 39300 cusecs and Outflows 34200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 39600 cusecs and Outflows 9600 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 6700 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1491.33 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.380 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1182.90 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.448 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 645.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.140 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
