Lahore, December 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under :
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 23800 cusecs and Outflows 35000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 12000 cusecs and Outflows 12000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 14200 cusecs and Outflows 34000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 9100 cusecs and Outflows 4500 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 52400 cusecs and Outflows 45400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 45500 cusecs and Outflows 50000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 49100 cusecs and Outflows 49100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 9100 cusecs and Outflows 4600 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 47900 cusecs and Outflows 42200 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 37100 cusecs and Outflows 7200 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 9900 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1493.75 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.496 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1186.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.634 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 643.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.096 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
