Lahore, February 23, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 20700 cusecs and Outflows 54700 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 10200 cusecs and Outflows 10200 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 19600 cusecs and Outflows 60000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 12600 cusecs and Outflows 7400 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 59400 cusecs and Outflows 51400 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 45300 cusecs and Outflows 57000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 41800 cusecs and Outflows 34000 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 28200 cusecs and Outflows 17900 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 46800 cusecs and Outflows 41800 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 35000 cusecs and Outflows 4600 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 4400 cusecs and Outflows Nil.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1478.77 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.710 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1141.20 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 1.669 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 639.40 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.029 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
