Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, February 09, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 16700 cusecs and Outflows 23000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 11700 cusecs and Outflows 11700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 12000 cusecs and Outflows 60000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 7300 cusecs and Outflows 2700 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 55600 cusecs and Outflows 49000 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 39200 cusecs and Outflows 32000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 34500 cusecs and Outflows 30100 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 7000 cusecs and Outflows 1600 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 26600 cusecs and Outflows 20900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 26700 cusecs and Outflows 6600 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 13300 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1489.81 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.210 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1171.10 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 2.873 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642.90 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.091 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
