Lahore, February 01, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under :
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17200 cusecs and Outflows 17200 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 13900 cusecs and Outflows 13900 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 14700 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 6300 cusecs and Outflows 2700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 32300 cusecs and Outflows 31300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 27000 cusecs and Outflows 27000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 32300 cusecs and Outflows 32300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 13600 cusecs and Outflows 12300, Guddu: Inflows 37700 cusecs and Outflows 33000 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 23600 cusecs and Outflows 8900 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 24100 cusecs and Outflows 4900 cusecs.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1493 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.460 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1184.40 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.527 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 640 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.038 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
