Rivers flows and reservoirs level report

Lahore, January 18, 2016 (PPI-OT): The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 17100 cusecs and Outflows 6400 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 12700 cusecs and Outflows 12700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 9000 cusecs and Outflows 5000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 6200 cusecs and Outflows 6200 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 35500 cusecs and Outflows 35500 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 41000 cusecs and Outflows 55700 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 31900 cusecs and Outflows 31900 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 11700 cusecs and Outflows 11700, Guddu: Inflows 31400 cusecs and Outflows 15100 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 4600 cusecs and Outflows 4600 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 8300 cusecs and Outflows Nil.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1492.82 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 3.451 million acre feet (MAF).

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1183.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 3.477 MAF.

Chashma: Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 642 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.073 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
